Our Environmental Values

All packaging, wherever possible, is made from recycled and recyclable/compostable material. Any bubblewrap or non-recyclable packaging you receive will have been re-used from deliveries we have received.

Our drosophila, for example, are sent in re-usable glass tubes with environmentally friendly cotton wool stoppers. We only stock paper stemmed cotton buds and where possible preserved specimens are supplied in glass jars, most live specimens are supplied in compostable tubs.

 

Our Animal Welfare Values

As well as our environmental values, we also value supporting British with the majority of our products having been manufactured in the UK. All specimens are British and you can be assured that when buying from Darwin Biological the highest animal welfare standards have been adhered to.
